Van Gogh had no biological children but his death and legacy has inspired generation after generation of people to create art inspired by him. His memory lives on through the Daughters of Van Gogh with every young woman who sees his work and creates art inspired by his swirls and expressionistic style. I did these paintings in honour of him. (Starry Night is my favourite as you can probably tell!).
I always wondered what would have happened if Van Gogh lived and had a daughter (possibly cause I wish I was his over-enthusiastic descendant!) and decided to do a short series exploring the concept. They are lovingly painted in honour of Van Gogh; The first famous artist that inspired me as a child and young woman.
